NS Records
See what NS records are, what's their objective and why each and every domain needs them so as to function effectively.
The Name Servers of a domain name point out the DNS servers that deal with its DNS records. The IP address of the site (A record), the mail server that takes care of the e-mails for a domain (MX records), any text record in free form (TXT record), pointing (CNAME record) and so forth are extracted from the DNS servers of the hosting provider and for any Internet domain to be using them and to be pointed to their hosting platform, it should have their name servers, or NS records. If you wish to open a website, for example, and you type in the URL, the Internet browser connects to a DNS server, which keeps the NS records for the domain name and the request is then sent to the DNS servers of the hosting provider where the A record of the web site is obtained, so you can look at the content from the correct location. Normally a domain name has two name servers that start with NS or DNS as a prefix and the difference between the two is just visual.

NS Records in Shared Website Hosting
The outstanding Hepsia CP, which comes with our shared website hosting products, allows you to manage the name servers of each domain name registered through our company with simply a few mouse clicks, so even if you have not had a web hosting plan or a domain before, you will not encounter any issues. The Domain Manager tool, which is a part of Hepsia, comes with a very user-friendly interface and will permit you to edit the NS records of any domain address or even a number of domains all at once. We also provide you with the ability to create child name servers dns1.your-domain.com and dns2.your-domain.com for any domain registered within the account just as easily and all you need for that is a couple of IPs - either ours, if you will use the child NS to point the domain address to the account on our cloud platform, or the ones of the third-party company if you'll use the new records to point the domain address to their system. In contrast to other providers, we don't charge more for providing this additional DNS management service.
- NS Records in Semi-dedicated Hosting
Our semi-dedicated server accounts are administered using Hepsia - an all-in-one tool with very user-friendly interface, that will allow you to handle your domain names without difficulty even when you haven't used a web hosting account or a domain address previously. Changing the NS records for each and every domain registered using our company, viewing the current ones and whether they are correct or not as to point that domain name to our cloud hosting platform is also fairly simple and requires just a few mouse clicks. You will also be able to register child name servers under each and every one of your domain names as an element of the free DNS control services that we provide with each and every plan and have ns1.your-domain.com and ns2.your-domain.com. The latter can be used for every domain which you accommodate inside the semi-dedicated account, so if you offer services to third-parties and host their websites, employing this feature will give you far more credibility as a business. - NS Records in Semi-dedicated Hosting
