Dot NAME Domains

Introduced in 2001, the Dot NAME generic TLD is the single TLD planned for personal websites only. These domains can consist of personal or fictitious names, nicknames and/or other titles people are known by. At first, solely 3rd-level registrations were allowed, so if you desired to obtain john.doe.name, you were required to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration procedures were loosened and 2nd-level registrations were also allowed. Already acquired 3rd-level domain names remained running.

Through our firm, you can buy your .NAME domain for a time interval between one and ten years. You will have the chance to change the WHOIS information, to park your domain, to set up Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an active domain to our company if you take its EPP transfer authorization key from the present registrar and we will renew it when the transfer has been finalized. There are no particular rules on who can grab a dot NAME domain name, but in order to preserve the concept behind its establishment alive, the .NAME Registry organization may verify who the Registrant is and if there is no relation between the owner and the actual domain name, the registration could be challenged.

The .NAME generic TLD is one of the extensions that support internationalized domains, so we can also register a domain in any language at no added cost. In this way, your .NAME domain will be recognized in your country or region with the proper spelling in your native language.
